Is the Oracle subtly trying to get liberals to buy New Balance shoes again?

I was not aware that New Balance were MAGA shoes.

I come from a day when Nikes, Tiger (now Asics), and Puma were "running/track" shoes and not worn by just any old nerd like Comey as fashion accessories. New Balance was late to the game and considered very dorky. The perfect shoe for a wimp/nerd like Comey.

Now that I know they are MAGA, I will give poor old New Balance another chance, dorky as they may be.

My first running/track shoes were Adidas, white with three green stripes. Sure beat the heck out of those black tennis shoes with no support during the 440-relay and the 880.
