Federal prosecutor John Durham, whom AG Bill Barr tasked to investigate the 2016 anti-Trump spy operation, is no stranger to FBI corruption. In 2000, he uncovered evidence that FBI agents framed four men for murders committed by FBI informants. https://t.co/afvp0WZ9PI— Sean Davis (@seanmdav) May 14, 2019

Sorry but not sorry to hijack this spot but I think many will be interested to know this dude US Attorney Durham successfully proved the FBI framed some dudes in Boston connected to Whitey Bulger. He secured a conviction of FBI Agent John Connolly for tipping off Bulger who was his informant. Guess who the US Attorney at the time in charge of Connolly/Bulger was... Robert Mueller.
Mr. Durham said that since 1975 Mr. Connolly ‘’engaged in continuing conduct to protect James Bulger.’’ William Bulger, now the president of the University of Massachusetts, has long denied any knowledge of his brother’s criminal career. In the 1980’s, while Mr. Connolly was working with Whitey Bulger, Mr. Mueller was assistant United States attorney in Boston in charge of the criminal division and for a period was the acting United States attorney here, presiding over Mr. Connolly and Mr. Bulger as a ‘’top-echelon informant.’’ Officials of the Massachusetts state police and the Boston Police Department had long wondered why their investigations of Mr. Bulger were always compromised before they could gather evidence against him, and they suspected that the F.B.I. was protecting him.

In December 2000, Durham revealed secret FBI documents that convinced a judge to vacate the 1968 murder convictions of Enrico Tameleo, Joseph Salvati, Peter J. Limone and Louis Greco because they had been framed by the agency. In 2007, the documents helped Salvati, Limone, and the families of the two other men who had died in prison win a US$101.7 million civil judgment against the government.[7]
In 2002, Durham helped secure the conviction of retired FBI agent John J. Connolly Jr., who was sentenced to 10 years in prison on federal racketeering charges for protecting Bulger and Flemmi from prosecution and warning Bulger to flee just before the gangster’s 1995 indictment.[7]
