‏ BREAKING: The Pentagon has approved the movement of additional hardware into @CENTCOM: the USS Arlington and a Patriot missile battery. These assets will join the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group and @usairforce bomber task force sent there in response to Iranian threats.

"The United States does not seek conflict with Iran, but we are postured and ready to defend U.S. forces and interests in the region," according to a statement.

Important point: the movement of the Arlington and Patriot battery was part of Centcom's original request for forces earlier this week, according to a defense official. There has been no change in the urgency of the threat, the official said.

The threat is both on land and sea. On land, it's Iranian proxies threatening US troops in Iraq/Syria. In the Gulf, it's "anomalous naval activity" by Iranian regime vessels - for example commercial dhows being loaded with potential military hardware "to include missiles"

The Arlingon, an amphib that transports Marines and their equipment, will be replacing the USS Fort McHenry, which is already in the region. Four Patriot batteries were pulled out of the region in the fall; now DOD is bringing one back.

You missed a whole chunk of intel. Iran finances terror. Some of which is HAMAS, of which majority is in Palestine. HAMAS has sent hundreds of misled into Israel, killing ppl in this past week. So, no. Trump isn’t posturing for war. He’s posturing to protect our ally. This will--------also mean we’re fighting a proxy war with Iran (& deep state). This POTUS is trying to take ppl out of theatres of war. Please educate yourself on world happenings.
