Very interesting. Another one of those “wonder if we will ever find out the true story”.

I’m not in the business of declaring who is a “good guy” and who is a “bad guy”. If you notice, I’ll share my opinion when asked, but if I’ve learned anything, it’s not to be married to someone’s role in this debacle. I use evidence to make statements and come to conclusions.

*****
If it came out tomorrow that hard evidence emerged stating that someone we’ve all trusted had done something horrible and nefarious? I would report that. I’m not going to hide information just to shield from possibly hurting someone’s feelings because they like someone.

*****
Sometimes the truth is hard. When we have a fact set in front of us to look at that leans heavily towards a big problem - especially when it comes to transparency etc? I don’t care who it is. I’m going to inform the best way I know how.

*****
Stop beating people up who have a different opinion than you on a certain figure. Just talk it out and use evidence to come to your conclusions. But I’m going to do my best to tell it like it is. Otherwise, we will NEVER move forward.

Chaos Actual

You’re beating the FBI Director up for something he didn’t do simply because you are frustrated with FOIA Documents not being made public as fast as you would like. I’m not beating you up over that, I’m just saying you shouldn’t accuse him of a crime with no evidence.

Oh look, President Trump agrees...
*****
Donald J. Trump

James Comey is a disgrace to the FBI & will go down as the worst Director in its long and once proud history. He brought the FBI down, almost all Republicans & Democrats thought he should be FIRED, but the FBI will regain greatness because of the great men & women who work there!

You clearly don’t understand at all. It has nothing to do with the quickness of a FOIA response - to the contrary the FOIA is the only reason we know about this. It’s about the FBI withholding information from the IG. Don’t you think it’s a key piece of evidence?
*****

Tracybeanz

The fact that the State department let the FBI know the political bias of Steele etc, 10 days before the first FISA. It was brought up in testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary in the summer of 2018. The FBI HAD THIS INFORMATION and DID NOT SHARE it with OIG.

*****
Because they didn’t share it, the FISA investigation (as per Digenova and Herridge) concludes that the original FISA was warranted. Because of this FOIA release, the OIG now has to go back and REDO the beginning of the invest. With the new info.

Wray is the director of the FBI. He wasn’t there when this happened, but was brought in to clean up the mess. If he has staff who didn’t find this (while a FOIA request found responsive records) that is a big issue - whether he did it by neglect, innocent overlook et

ITS THE ENTIRE INVESTIGATION. Sure, it’s bad enough that the three were determined to be illegally issued, but the big guys skate on that by pretending that they had an adequate predicate to start the investigation. This implicates the perpetrators from the GET.
*****
So, are you saying you DONT think that Wray should have known this? And if you say no, that basically means you are saying he shouldn’t have looked into what happened and how this started so he could FIX IT. but let’s do devils advocate

*****
Let’s pretend Wray said, “guys I am entrusting you to give them everything they need and I’m hands off”. They didn’t give them everything they needed. A FOIA request produced this and they didn’t give it to the OIG DIRECTLY. Wray could have his hands completely washed (cont)

and still be accountable because HE RUNS THE FBI. This is one of the most crucial pieces of hard evidence we have had to date and you would rather just pretend that this isn’t important. Fine - but if you are going to criticize me at least understand my point.
*****

Tracybeanz

It had NOTHING to do with the length of time on the FOIA and everything to do with the fact that Wray either didn’t know, or purposefully withheld this.

*****

Tracybeanz

And all I’ll say to conclude is - what would have happened if Citizens United didn’t do the FOIA? We never would have known. Horowitz would have said “I could find no wrongdoing in the initial FISA request” which lets COMEY SKATE, and the rest would be history.

*****
THAT is how important this is. So yes - I’m getting on Wray.

*****

Chaos Actual

The FOIA is the reason we (The Public) Now Know about this but it is absolutely not the reason the OIG found out about this. Wray was not withholding evidence he didn’t even know about in the first place from the IG. So yes I do understand. We (the public) do not enforce the law.

*****
MAGAButters

I understand both sides on Wray.

Wray has been badly misrepresented this week with his “spying” comments and people are rightly defending him.

I also get the people who see him as a flaccid figure. To them, this letter is more evidence that his subordinates don’t respect him.
