McGhan's testimony that Trump told him to fire Mueller has been refuted by pretty much everyone within Trump's inner circle in a position to know.
Regardless, if Trump had wanted Mueller fired for "conflicts of interest," that was his right.
Mueller clearly was conflicted.
Discussion of firing a person is NOT firing them. They may have looked at the option— it’s pros and cons before DJT made the decision NOT to fire him. The was a very good video out by Invanka (possibly from the apprentice show ). She discussed how her father looked at ALL options Discussions would follow and then they would narrow it down to 2-3. DJT would make the final decision. Then if it failed he took the blame. If it was successful he could praise the person who suggested it.
