re wray as pointed out in a post of the article:
Wray was answering a general question, but thats not how our enemies are portraying it. Sorry for the Caps.
THANK YOU, MR. CHAIRMAN. THANK YOU VERY MUCH DIRECTOR WRAY FOR BEING HERE THIS MORNING. ID LIKE TO FOLLOW-UP ON SENATOR MORANS QUESTION ABOUT THE HEARING WITH ATTORNEY GENERAL BAR. I WAS VERY CONCERNED BY HIS USE OF THE WORD SPYING, WHICH I THINK IS A LOADED WORD. IT CONJURES A CRIMINAL CONNOTATION. I WANT TO ASK YOU ID APPRECIATE A YES OR NO ANSWER IF POSSIBLE. WHEN FBI AGENTS CONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS AGAINST ALLEGED MOBSTERS, SUSPECTED TERRORISTS, OTHER CRIMINALS, DO YOU BELIEVE THEYRE ENGAGING IN SPYING WHEN THEYRE FOLLOWING FBI INVESTIGATIVE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES?
THATS NOT THE TERM I WOULD USE.

Wray needs to be fired. He’s not the right man for what needs to be done. He is, at best, protective of the FBI’s institutional interests regardless of what it has done. At worst, he’s a full-fledged member of the deep state, working against Trump and us every day. Either way, he has now proven he is not the right guy. Maybe Barr can take the hit and fire him for us, so Trump doesn’t have to.
I read the Politico article. Rolling-stone’s actual quote of the question proves me right. :-) Rolling, do you have a link to the transcript?
I responded thusly on the thread:

I read the article you linked. Without a transcript of the entire exchange, Politico’s article is worse than worthless. Note they also compare Wray’s response to Barr’s, and everyone knows Barr is a straight shooter.
Wallowing in doom/n/gloom because Politico says to is beyond idiocy. That is the purpose of this article, to get people to think Trump picked bad people.
Why, that's not spying. That's what we call infiltration and covert observation. Certainly NOT spying!"
