Oh man. Jealousy is not right but I do love Australian Shepherds. Bandit, muh best girl, lived ages and hadn’t seen me in almost 5 years, hung out with me for four days. She passed like a year later but it was clear she was still my dog, according to my mom lol.

About thirty years ago the wife and kids wanted a dog.
I tried to get them to go for a pet rock, no go.
Next, I had them study up and do a report on possible breeds. After many trips to the library, it became difficult to hold them off much longer.
Australian Shepherds it was, and we have had a pair ever since. All of them very good.
Delightful creatures they are.
