"One potential work-around is relying on donation systems like Patreon for income instead of YouTube, but setting that up and building it up are unpaid work in the hope of receiving alternate income."
"By requiring creators making content YouTube is stifling to find alternate income, they force many to either drop off the platform or conform to its ever narrower demands of acceptability in order to earn a living.
I'm sure the irony is lost on the author, and probably you, that she's complaining about having to do unpaid work in the hope of getting paid in the future when she wants to take advantage of all the billions of dollars worth of speculative work that Google did - without paying.
A mountain of unpaid work just to get back to having something similar in the way of income to what Google took away from her on a whim.
If Google didn't want to allow the free exchange of ideas, they should have made that quite clear before so many people invested time and effort into building up their own channels and in the process building up Google's market share.
So far as I'm concerned, Google is evil, and I would drop a nuclear bomb on it and all the people involved in it. It is a fascist system encroaching upon the United States through the back door of "private" corporation.
You just don't grasp the threat, because you don't see where this is going.
