Chevy and GMC are the same vehicle. I've owned both Chevys and Fords, and both are good vehicles. Dodge goes cheap on the interior and transmissions are problematic.
Resale value on Ford is highest until they get old enough to become "classic." Anything prior to 1960 is going to draw good money, but Chevys over twenty years old draw top dollar. Dunno why, but right now, the old boxy 73-88 body style is outrageously popular.
