If ever a two-faced skunk came creeping out of the Swamp, Gropin’ Joe, or Slow Joe, whichever sobriquet fits him better, has mastered the art of navigating that Swamp well. His soul, if he any longer has one, has been so corrupted and and damaged that talking about “Make America Moral Again” rings very, very hollow. All his moral capital, such as it ever was, has been spent in either defending the contradictory views he has held covering more than the past forty years, or into simple denial of what are charges, supported by photographic evidence, of his basically domineering and arrogant treatment of females of all ages.
And the covering for his son Hunter is only more indication that if Joe ever had a moral compass, it has long since been rendered inoperative, while his ability to distinguish truth from falsehood as atrophied altogether. He cannot, in his own mind, tell the difference any more.
I guess it is technically not lying, if at that instant, you really believe what you are saying, but the agility necessary to flip from one position to its near polar opposite are Astonishing in a Man of His Age.
