The jury has reached a verdict in the trial of a former Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed an unarmed woman who had called 911 to report a possible rape in the alley behind her home, a court spokesperson said.
Jurors resumed deliberations Tuesday morning, and reached a verdict Tuesday afternoon. KSTP's Beth McDonough reports it will be announced at 4:30 p.m.

Dude should have never been in that squad car. The former mayor is completely to blame. She forced the department to push this dude, and others, through. Solely based on skin color or gender.
They were so smug and proud about having Somali cops. No concern at all whether the dudes they were putting into frontline positions were qualified to make life and death decisions.

IIRC his partner on that night testified that he,too,was afraid.I believe he said something along the lines of "this was looking like a setup for an ambush" (not an exact quote).

What’s really disappointing is the failure of some police officers to cooperate in the investigation, to the point that they were called before the Grand Jury and compelled to testify.
