The U.S. moved its capital from Philadelphia to a new city in the middle of the country in 1790. But then we’ve always been trailblazers.

Virginia moved its capital from Jamestown to Williamsburg and later to Richmond. I think Georgia and Tennessee both moved the location of their state capitals. Alaska was going to move its capital from Juneau to someplace more accessible (between Anchorage and Fairbanks) but that never materialized. There are probably some other states which moved their capital at some point in their history.
