I don't give a rat's hindquarters about how "wonderful" electric vehicles might be. I'm gonna drive diesels until there are no more diesels.
Just a few weeks ago we did an 800 mile road trip in our recently acquired diesel. We stated with a full tank and drove about 700 of those miles at a steady 65mph,the other 100 in bad conditions (stop & go,lost, massive rainstorm, etc). When we got home and filled the tank we found that we had gotten 47.02 mpg and the "distance to empty" reading was "15 miles".
Let's see an EV do that.

mamouth coal (or diesel) powered

I envision
cruzing the highways of
big cities
carting Prius’ & Teslas
back and forth
to and from the
suburbs.

So a good rule to live by is — when a liberal speaks,
a) assume they are lying and then b) believe the opposite of what they are saying.
You’ll be in good shape.

The premise and present structure of “green energy” is built on lies. An “Inconvenient Truth” indeed.
Wind turbines have been disastrous for nature - specifically birds and bees and the resource intensive turbines do not last long enough to pay for themselves. Lithium batteries will have long term ramifications for water quality and mental health and electric cars fail to reduce emissions. Green energy solutions have created hundreds of future super-fund cleanups for landfills. Solar power has also failed to live up to the hype although it is more promising in certain regions based on what I have seen.
Natural gas has saved us recently with the war on coal, but nuclear power remains the long term answer to our energy needs with coal remaining a player for a few decades.
I wish the Trump administration would do more to kick-start that conversation and answer the thorium question once and for all.

Duh.....
An electric car is a fossil fuel car, via complex toxic metals battery storage from strip mines in third world countries.
