I once had a discussion with a liberal friend about Hillary Clinton, back when she was still First Lady or maybe senator. He declared he thought I just didn’t like strong women. I assured him I would be thrilled to vote for Maggie Thatcher, or maybe Golda Meir, or certainly Jeanne Kirkpatrick.
He sputtered and said, “Those aren’t women!”
That was when I fully realized, liberalism is the politics of denial.

Actually, not quite true. The last one in the Democrat Party who seemed rational and decent to me was Zell Miller's Legacy
When he left the Democrat Party, he turned off the lights on his way out.
