Yes there is that blessing but on the downside it will be rediscovered some 10-15000 years in the future since that is how long it took for it to be rediscovered this time around.
There is a distinct possibility that rap music attracts these strikes, or its just that the Earth passes through the denser part of the Taurid cloud with mile diameter rocks - a remnant of a very large broken up comet.
