I always thought bribery was the cost of doing business with any institution, government or non-government, in America.
I’m from Chicago. My DAd, always carried $500 in small bills with him to pay people off. I’m not talking that it was always illegally, but to get a better seat a table, to better service etc. But occasionally to get out of ticket.
