I wondered about that, too. If the idea is that animals that "get a taste for blood" -- human blood -- are to be put down, the cassowary didn't try to eat the guy. They attack when they feel attacked or cornered. As somebody said, Horses kill people all the time, cattle kill people all the time. Its not because they are aggressive animals, its because theyre big animals.
I suppose.
But I’d hate to hear of the same thing happening to the bird’s next owner.
I thought that too.
I guess some dogs have a viscous nature. This bird was just acting out of a natural instinct.
You’d have to kill all cassowaries.
Viscous? Ahhh. You know what I meant.
