BIDEN WITHDRAWS BID FOR PRESIDENT IN WAKE OF FUROR

Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., declaring that his candidacy had been overwhelmed by ‘’the exaggerated shadow’’ of his mistakes, dropped out of the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination today.
The 44-year-old legislator from Delaware betrayed little bitterness but some sadness as he stood behind a forest of microphones at a crowded news conference. In sharp contrast with former Senator Gary Hart, who withdrew from the Democratic contest in a blur of invective against the news media, Mr. Biden chose to swallow most of his private anger and place the burden for the end of his candidacy on himself.
‘’I made some mistakes,’’ said Mr. Biden, who has faced 10 days of news reports on his lifting of sections from the speeches of others and on his record in college and law school.

In his previous presidential campaigns, Biden made it to September in 1987. He made it to January 2008.
But this time he has Team Hillary gunning for him form day one.
So what changed between then and now? Those things never happened so therefore don’t matter? Who’s going to ask him about it? HA! No one, that’s who!

Biden initially received an “F” in an introductory class on legal methodology for writing a paper relying almost exclusively on a single Fordham Law Review article, which he had cited only once.
As revealed by a video shown on C-SPAN,[31][32] when questioned by a New Hampshire resident about his grades in law school, Biden had replied “I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect,”[33] and then inaccurately recollected graduating in the “top half” of his class when he actually graduated 76th from 85, that he had attended law school on a full scholarship, and had received three degrees in college.[34] In fact, he had earned a single B.A. with a double major in history and political science, and had received a half scholarship to law school based on financial need with some additional assistance based in part upon academics.[34] During this time, Biden also released his undergraduate grades, which were unexceptional.
