That’s possible, but there’s that whole bloodline of the King thing, too. King Baratheon, and Cersei, thought there were no Baratheon heirs. But Gendry is a Baratheon heir. What claim would a Stark-Gendry (nee Baratheon) bastard have as an heir? Thin, but maybe not zero.

Dynastic politics is like blue-blood reparations. Everybody’s got some claim on the prize.
