Everyone has their favorite candy for the different holidays, but it appears nothing satisfies people quite as much as the combination of peanut butter and chocolate.
A RetailMeNot survey shows 32% like Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Eggs the best.
Next up on the list are Cadbury Creme Eggs and jelly beans, with 17% and 16% respectively.
The survey says 10% say chocolate bunnies are best, but only 6% picked Peeps.

Spiced jelly beans and fruit and nut cream eggs...at least 8oz.
Peanut butter has become too oily for me. And I never really liked it all that much. Plus, I have seen the reports of the amounts of herbicides and insecticides it takes to produce a crop of adequate yield and because of the nature of the plant and the nature if the processing there is a lot of residue soaked into the shell which goes directly into the product.
So it is a Cadbury creme eggs and jellies for me. BTW Walmart will be teaming with candy sales today! The perfect excuse for avoiding it altogether.

The Cadbury eggs though...they are like pure sugar.
I like the commercial though it seems to be the same one i was watching as a kid in the 70’s-80’s.
I’m out of it on peanut butter and chocolate. Never liked the mix at all.
Years ago I was in a store right after Easter. They had a cart with Cadbury eggs that had leaked a bit on sale for ten cents a piece. Bought way too many. Won’t touch them anymore. Peeps are best in the microwave.

I love chocolate and peanut butter....but with all them poor folks who have peanut allergies, i can’t wait to see them attacked because there’s likely a number of minorities/Dems who can’t eat them...it’s patently unfair that something that isn’t a universally enjoyable treat gets rated “best” ... unless it’s only Repubs who have problems with it...

Actually, Peeps are best aged to perfection. Slit the bag and store in a cool dry place for about six weeks.
Then, place the peep on a skewer and slowly roast over the burner on a gas stove until charred and caramelized.
To prevent the risk of second degree lip burns, allow to cool for 2 minutes (or so I’ve been told)
That’s how Peeps are done.

I already knew that Peeps are better when dried for a couple of weeks, but now I’ll have to try toasting them over a flame. What color Peep is best for this?
