The way I see it, the best, most economic, most convenient way to capture carbon is simply to plant more trees, if you’re inclined to.

Trees = nature’s commercial, off-the-shelf technology.

There’s a TV commercial lately (some oil company) gleefully showing how “concerned” they are about the environment that they’re investing in “technologies that can mimic trees” (paraphrase) and grab CO2 right out of the atmosphere - they even show a tree.

I laughed...so yeah, plant more damn trees!!! It’s the main flaw in their “science” - the earth will trap more CO2 in more vegetation. Somehow, I think the earth has been balancing this for millions of years!

Trees help with city heat sink problems ... concrete and asphalt hold heat longer than dirt. Shade from trees offsets much of this.

But, the problem with planting trees is it doesn’t give big bucks to corrupt ‘scientists’ in liberal universities. Or big payoffs from the green industries to lobby groups to bribe our 'public servants'.. So it's a no go...
