Big hills in some areas - I drove somewhere out there (don’t remember where it was) looking for truck parts in the 1980’s. Was really surprised by what I saw.

That said, there’s hills in Kansas?????? Bonner Springs is a few miles from the Missouri border and the Missouri River. Hills abound and trees, as well. If you really want to see really flat lands, you need to go to southern Illinois.
