Sadly, the CIA being involved is not speculation but a good chance.
We have much to distrust them for. Since the beginning, the agency has become more and more a rogue group that answers to no one. The CIA might be an unconstitutional organ of a misguided government. Meaning well but unable to control the players/agents who go beyond the “spy vs. spy” game but are into the POLITICAL BULLSHIT that pervades presently.
James Comes is a perfect example of the type. FBI, CIA blended into a rogue outfit. James Clapper, (how the hell did that jerk ever get promoted to General?), is another “servant” that served only himself and his handlers. I am embarrassed that he was in my Air Force!!
