“three scariest words in the english language, I’M NOT HAPPY!”
The three most dangerous words for children are “Mommie has a new boyfriend”.
1997 I worked a child murder case. Boy 2.5 years old was scalded by ‘mommie’s boyfriend’ babysitting him while she was out. Perp said he was “punishing him” for “soiling his diapers” so he dunked him in a tub of hot water. My partner interviewed the boy in an OKC hospital and lamented about how all the boy said was “daddy did this to me” saying how the boy just said it over and over and that he didn’t know how he’d put that in his report. The boy subsequently died from bacterial infection. I said to my partner, “so the boy says ‘Daddy did this to me’ and you don’t know how to write that in your report? I told him to write it as the boy’s statement in quotation and write it out the same amount of times the boy said it -eleven times.
The Perp was convicted. I forget the sentence but the Army doesn’t play with murder convictions. I’d have locked the bitch up too.
The moral of this child’d death is: would the father have allowed ANY of this to happen?
