I was painting my parent’s room and discovered my mother had lined the closet shelves with newspapers from the late sixties. What a fascinating read they were, especially the advertisements. (Washer and dryer set, $79.) What struck me was The “news” articles. Change the date and they could have been written that day. I stopped reading the “news,” at least about the rapes, murders, car chases, etc.
