At the University of Missouri ‘69 - ‘73, we were blissfully unwoke. We were harangued and made to feel guilty about absolutely nothing. You just blissfully lived your life in complete ignorance of all the pending doom.
Then “The Limits to Growth” was published while I was in school and it’s never been the same.
And "The Population Bomb", etc.
Earlier generations were terrified by Rachael Carson's "Silent Spring" or humiliated by Michael Harrington's The Other America (1962)
Then Ron Sider published "Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger" in 1978. ...
