The real fraudsters are the schools & their elitist brand!
All the Hollyweird clowns did was expose that. For that they must be punished!
In 40 some years of science & engineering work I’ve seen little difference in graduates of the elite schools & the cow colleges (state land grant schools!). If there are differences/problems its the attitudes of the elite graduates causing the trouble. And no don’t get me wrong, not all the graduate of the elite schools were like that. The problem children were very few in number but just enough to make one pause.
I agree. I now only hire engineers from “cow colleges” - mostly my local one. Less turmoil and BS involved. At one point in my career it was Stanford or Berkeley or not at all.
Studies have shown time and again that degrees from these elite colleges on average do not earn those with them more than those who go to other schools.... Those schools are there for the connections etc for the “right” kind of people.
That’s it... Like the Private Grade School that charges 40k a year tuition.. its not a 40k per year educations, its 40k to make sure your kids don’t have to mix with the riff raff.
