(Reuters) - A 5-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries on Friday after being thrown or pushed by an apparent stranger from a third-floor balcony at Minnesota’s Mall of America, and a man who fled the scene has been charged with attempted homicide, police said.
The child was rushed to a hospital after officers and passersby provided aid at the scene, Bloomington Police Chief Jeff Potts said. His condition was not immediately known.
Shortly after the incident, police arrested a 24-year-old man inside the mall, one of the state’s leading tourist attractions, after he had fled the scene, Potts said.
The suspect, Emmanuel Deshawn Aranda, who is from the area, was charged with attempted homicide, police said in a statement.

Now the headline proclaims the "boy falls" (even though the article itself contradicts the headline).
This is the epitome of press gaslighting, the incremental changing of language in order to change perception. So we go from a guy throwing a child off a ledge, to a boy falling, which leaves us wondering what anybody got arrested for.
He was THROWN from the 3rd floor.
He did not fall.

So why not a hate crime when a minority male throws a small white child off a balcony in a mall?

The DU thread about this featured speculation about it being an anti muslim hate crime. Once the perps picture came out the thread turned to Trumps influence on our national mood and then the thread died down.

I think that everyone on this site knows the answer to this question. "Minorities" can do no wrong, as far as the mass media, establishment politicians, and (increasingly) our criminal justice system are concerned.
I saw a report on the news this morning that a “memorial” is being set up for the little boy...Did he die???

Just like in 1948 when anti-Red Czech hero Jan Masaryk either “jumped” or “fell” from a high window; the odd thing was that he landed several feet away diagonally which would ordinarily indicate he had been thrown. Or like the non-famine in the Ukraine where eight million starved while Stalin was exporting grain to Europe: “no such thing, the Ukrainians have plenty to eat”, Walter Duranty, Pulitzer Prize winner for the NY Times. This blessed child didn’t fall but the reputation of Reuters as a “news” agency sure as hell has.
Nanzi, Schmucky, Madd Maxine, Cuomo and Northam will be there to defend the perps rights.

As expected, since this is (as is typical) a black on white violent crime, the article makes no mention of the criminal’s race or that of his victim. If their races were reversed, the news media would be all over this, and Democrat politicians and TV talking heads would be encouraging race riots all over America in response.

Next thing you know, we’ll be reading about how the nasty five year old white boy was teasing the harmless, mentally challenged black guy - you know, maybe by smiling at him, and he just couldn’t resist fighting back the only way he knew.
