I show my kids pics of my youth how women and girls and men too looked
Few folks more than 10-20 pounds overweight
Now....half the population is morbidly obese
I went to WalMart in Fairview Tenn last night and 80 percent of folks at least 50 pounds overweight and many double weight

Even those ladies aren’t what you would call fit. They watch their weight but their muscle tone isn’t anything to write home about.
Back in the day it was the rare woman or girl who was what we called “big boned” and they were just physically big.
I can’t remember but one girl my age who was considered fat. She was the only child of parents who themselves were only children and they excessively pampered her.
I remember when I was 14 the boys from town would fight each other to work on our farm during the summer. Baling hay we usually paid 3 cents a bale plus dinner and supper. Granny and mama put out a great spread at meal time and that was a terrific inducement.
One young fella would have his daddy drop him off two miles from our farm in the mornings and would come walking up our driveway as we were milking. He would help carry the milk to the house and have breakfast with us.
That young fella wanted to work!
The farm girls back then worked just as much as their fathers and brothers. Many a farm girl threw a mean bale of hay, handled cattle and knew how to plow and such. Even the town girls worked in their families gardens and did housework at an early age.
Kids today don’t have to work so don’t really know what work is. To them work is walking to the refrigerator for another cold beverage. Unless they can get someone to bring it to them.
Otherwise they are either playing online games or posting to unsocial media.

Going to Wally World is too much like going to the zoo.
Hippopotamus on the left, rhinoceros on the right, elephants wandering everywhere, giant sloths taking their sweet time, chimpouts liable to break out at a moment’s notice and Pandas driving power carts from one wall to another.
Pathetic ain’t the word for it.
The world grew up into a hell of a place.
