There are so many different story lines that need to be resolved in this final season that I can’t help think it will fall short for most of their fans.

Sansa will win. She is the eldest Stark - the series started with the Starks, and will end with them. She has grown throughout the series and is now the best suited to rule of all the contenders

She has her mastermind alliance of Arya and her ESP powered brother. She is beautiful and well understands the use of power. The way she took out Littlefinger was perfect.

That slutty frozen-faced peroxide blonde with her alien army will never win.

Jon Snow is too weak. Oh yes, it has to be a woman who wins...This is 2019 after all.

King Robert Baratheon wakes up at the end of the final episode, and realizes it was all a dream.

He resolves to lay off the mushrooms, and stick to booze from now on.

One of the spinoff series concepts is already in production - it could be aired possibly as early as next year.

Set six thousand years earlier, GRRM is pushing for it to be called “The Long Night”. Probably the origin story for the Night King.

In one of the trailers for this season (Season 8 Official Tease: Crypts of Winterfell), showed Jon Snow, Sansa and Arya in the crypts below Winterfell, looking at statues of themselves (as if looking ahead in time, like a green seer/three-eyed raven vision).

Jon’s statute is of an older version of himself, but Sansa’s and Arya’s are about the age they are now.
