Who was "he" in this case? The cassowary? Did "he" love gutting overly curious tourists?

Or was the "he" here the tourist, who was being overly affectionate towards a wild beast?

He shoulda stuck to swans or barnyard animals.

Unsure about swans, but geese will beat you up.
While riding my bicycle through a local wetland, I was attacked... more than a few black/ blue marks.

My brother worked for NATO servicing missile sites, he said, lots of wire and geese.
You wait for the local to move the geese or you will regret it.
