I bet that’s true...
If you ever do get down there for a round, check out the green on 14...TV doesn’t do it justice...
He was just one shot behind the leaders yesterday, as well. So despite the headline, he just managed to hold his own against the better players.
I love the Masters and have several favorites on the tour but he is not one of them. Don’t like Dustin Johnson, either. Cocaine problem.

What body part of the adulteress woman would’ve you had your stone aimed at prior to Jesus asking whoever was without sin to be first to cast their stone?
Personally I admire those who fall and get back up. Especially those that fall hard. And also those who remember who their real friends are like Tiger did when he recently golfed with President Trump.
“I have never been a big TW fan but after his affairs became public, I was thoroughly disgusted. He is like BHO- hes half AA, half Thai but the media treats him like he is 100% AA. In fact, the media slobbers all over him. Absurd.
I think he is a massive phony and dont like him.”
Easy solution - don’t watch.
“...the security guard who foolishly ran out and slid...”
If the guy was not intentionally trying to take Woods out, he was practicing base stealing. This was intentional but the guy was a klutz
I already said I love watching the Masters. I’m not going to forgo watching just b/c I don’t care for TW.
I’m rooting for Eldrick Woods to lose (I refuse to call him by a nickname).
I was not aware he had played golf with DJT recently. If that is true, I am impressed. That would take a lot of guts (as it also does for Tom Brady to support DJT).
Top 5 golfer for sure...but you can’t go 11 years in your prime without winning one of the 4 Majors & expect to be considered the GOAT.
Did you see post #18?
And why would you be impressed by Tiger golfing with President Trump? I would have guessed you would also not be a fan of President Trump since he has had some of the same issues as Tiger Woods.
Finally a Masters thread. I’ve been dying to ask what’s with keeping the pins in when putting? I almost freaked out the first time I saw it. I wuz like, noooooooo!
Two more wins and he ties Sam Snead at 82. Snead won 7 Majors and was the oldest to win a Tour event at 52. Tiger passed Jack in total Tour wins a while back at 72. It's a stretch to think Tiger will never pass Jack in Major wins. Jack - 18 | Tiger - 14. I still think Jack is the GOAT, but there's a darn good argument for Tiger.
Tiger sullied his name forever with his behavior. He was a human walking fake, and smug about it. He thought he had everyone fooled, and he’d bought off anyone in the media that would rat him out. Him bilked the public on his clean hard working image. He deserves no respect whatsoever.
I saw that at the bar last week. I just looked it up. I guess they changed the rules this year. Studies show that leaving the pin in (as a backstop) increases the odds of the ball staying in.
The Old Rule: Hitting the flagstick with your ball from on the green resulted in a two-stroke penalty.
The New Rule: According to the USGA, under Rule 13.2a(2), "There will no longer be a penalty if a ball played from the putting green hits a flagstick left in the hole." Players will still have the option to remove the flagstick or to have someone tend the pin and remove it after the ball is struck.
Why It Was Changed: The USGA cited its main reason for changing this rule as pace of play. "Allowing a player to putt with the flagstick in the hole without fear of penalty should generally help speed up play," the organization posted on its website. Because most golfers don't play with caddies, the process of taking the flagstick out to putt out can delay play, and the USGA added that it does not anticipate the rule resulting in a scoring advantage.
There does seem to be some recent research that shows leaving the pin in does offer an advantage. It definitely helps the speed of play.
New rule.
See 55. I forgot I knew all the answers. I just had to ask my computer.
You beat me to it.
My issue is not just his infidelity, it's the way his public image was this squeaky clean husband and father that the media lapped up. And it was all a con job. It reminds me a lot of John Edwards: everyone in the media knew what was going on and they didn't utter a word about it.
I am not thrilled about Trump's dalliances but I didn't elect Mother Theresa. I voted for him to defend the US against the Dems, the media and other countries that want to harm/ take advantage of us. I love the guy. No President in my lifetime has ever stood up to the MSM and the Dems like he does. It's awesome to watch.
Tiger was -2 after 1st round...leaders tied at -6.
