Reminds me of a story my brother told me he had witnessed as an officer of the court about a Mexican who was being arraigned one day on a double murder charge. The prosecutor was going through the counts and the defendant, who didn’t understand much English, was getting visibly upset as he listened to the lengthy recitation. By the time the prosecutor had gone through several additional counts he was being charged with, he jumped to his feet and shouted “Dos! Dos! I only kill two!” The courtroom was stunned and then the prosecutor says, “I rest my case.”
