But please consider that this is typical Trump rhetoric. He has no intention of funneling millions of illegals into California or whatever (which would not be strategically sound for many reasons).

If Trump is forced to release illegals into the country against his will, where should they go? Wherever they end up, the locals feel some level of pain. Your beef is that this pain will affect you. Well, tough noogies. We all pay for bad government in some way, and this is just part of your contribution.
Dumping them in places that universally don’t want them punishes the people who are on the side of tight border security. Dumping them in the places that are demanding they be allowed to be here makes perfect sense, even if there are some people living there who don’t want them. Their neighbors elected politicians who do. You can and should work to change that of course, but those are the facts on the ground.
Dumping them there also provides great leverage in the broader picture as the flood overwhelms the sanctuary. This can also mobilize the opposition to the sanctuary policies and lead to the, being overturned.
What you have to understand is that Trump does not want them here. His goal is zero illegals and legal immigration based in our needs for workers. I don’t understand how any thinking person can’t see that. You make it sound like he’s looking to bring in extras and that simply isn’t the case.

You selectively misquoted me and made a very foolish (IMHO) recommendation that Trump tell the court to pound sand. Here is my comment in context:
“He could certainly tell them to pound sand, but that would play right into the Democrats hands and finally give them a reason to impeach that might get enough traction to work. Going against a judicial order is much more of an impeachable offense than “orange man bad”. People in the middle might buy that.”
If he doesn't designate sanctuary cities as their destination, then he is THREATENING the rest of us that DON'T live in Sanctuary cities. Democrats want them, then if we as a country have to take them, they should go to democrat areas. Let the people that promote this crap pay for it, not me.
If it were my decision, there's already be military action on the border and the invaders would be floating up the Rio Grande, deceased. THAT is what protecting the border should be.
