“It’s important to appreciate that the demand for Model 3 is insanely high. The inhibitor is affordability,”
I don’t think “demand” means what Musk thinks it means. It means people with money willing to part with it to obtain the demanded product at the price offered. It doesn’t mean people who wish that they could have one if it were cheap or free.
It’s got to be one of the funniest lines I’ve read today.
Well, other than Morning Ho wanted an America-hater to succeed.
Wait, that wasn’t funny - it was pathetically-sad that it’s on TV.
I know some people interested in the Tesla or other electrics. But they want to wait for some years, to see the technology evolve, see prices come down, see what happens with the infrastructure of electrical charging stations, etc before they buy an electric car.
Totally agree with you. How many of us would turn down a BMW M3 if we won it in a raffle? At the same time, how many of us own one or are really considering buying one at our income level? That’s not two of the same thing. The guy who works the floor at Target dreams of the day he can buy something nicer than a used Geo Metro. That’s the guy that you want to market to and he figures into your business projections? If so, Elon has a fundamental problem with his business model. The $9/hr guy at Target isn’t getting one unless he carjacks one.
