I’m confused as to what’s the difference between CLEAR and TSA Pre-Check, I have Global Entry, so why would I need CLEAR?

Never heard of CLEAR and have no idea what he's talking about. There is a Mobile app for clearing customs. Sometimes it has its own line, other times it's the same line as Global Entry. Since it's free, it's something else to have in your tool kit for clearing customs.

I know a few times at DFW airport they closed the TSA Pre-Check area in the evening.
