Florida Highway Patrol released audio from a call to dispatchers on Monday in which a man in Pasco County reports three nude women applying sun tan lotion outside of a rest area.
Three naked Florida women told a trooper they were “air drying” at a rest area after showering on Wednesday, but they didn’t stick around to explain much more, troopers said.
As the trooper gathered details at the Interstate 75 northbound rest stop in Pasco County, the women ran to a Nissan Sentra and drove off on the highway(snip) The trooper chased after them but gave up because the pursuit didn’t meet Highway Patrol guidelines, the news release said.(snip)
Troopers tracked the car to the parking lot of a convenience store on State Road 52, and a trooper tried to arrest one of the women as they left the store and returned to their vehicle, Highway Patrol said. During the attempted arrest, the woman driving the car intentionally drove straight at the trooper, “who had to disengage and jump back to avoid being struck by the car,” according to the news release.
One woman then got out of the car, armed with a metal bat to attack the trooper, Highway Patrol said. An officer who saw that the trooper “was in imminent danger” rammed into the Nissan, and the women again drove off down State Road 52(snip)
Dade City police officers helped hobble the women’s vehicle by deploying stop sticks, which popped their right side tires(snip)
The women locked arms in the car and “continued to actively resist arrest,” so a trooper broke the car’s windows, troopers said. The three were tasered, arrested and taken to the Pasco County Jail.
Highway patrol identified the women as driver Oasis Mcleod, 18, and passengers Jeniyah Mcleod and Cecilia Young, both 19.

Except they were putting on suntan lotion, so that is a confusing detail.
I was wondering when someone was going to beg for that.
Of course, despite the fact they were young, one could presume that if a man ratted on them, it’s “guilty”.
“Air drying” after bathing... where? In the restroom— like hobo bums do? But— never have thought— do black people put on “sun tan lotion” (probably misnamed, because everyone— all people can sunburn— so this was probably sunscreen, SPF 36 or higher).

Attempting to harm a lawman should get you at least 10 years without parole.
I have zero problems with a lawman shooting to kill anyone who attempts to harm them....IMO, if you attempt to harm a lawman you have placed yourself in harm’s way.
People should be very afraid to tackle a lawman....that fear has subsided in our whacked out society...not a good situation.
I must admit, I’ve never been in a rest stop (even in FL) that (to my knowledge) had showers. Large truck stops often do, of course, but, state owned / run rest stops? But, I don’t recall ever being at this one.

A long time ago the FL turnpike service centers used to have spray bars to drive under to assist the wipers in removing smashed love bugs from the windshield.
Anyone know if those are still around?
Here in Baltimore, it seems like 95% of the Nissans you see on the road are driven by them. One brand has TV commercials targeted to them and I have started to see more of them driving “Votes Wagons”.
They still have them at some rest areas. They even have them at different heights so that small compact cars and big trucks can get their windows cleaned.
