A former Montgomery Township teacher could serve up to nearly a year in jail Somerset County jail after pleading guilty to third-degree endangering the welfare of a child for sending nude photos to students.
Michelina Aichele, 30, of Hillsdale, a former English teacher, was arrested and charged in October after police and high school administration discovered sexual photos and conversations over text, email and social media between February and April 2018.
Aichele, who’d faced up to five years in jail, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Superior Court of Somerset County in Somerville. In addition to jail time, she was ordered to give up her teaching certificate, will be on parole for life and has to register as a sex offender.
If she violates the terms, she could serve up to 364 days in jail according to the plea agreement.
Her official sentencing is scheduled for early July.
Authorities launched an investigation after a fellow student reported to school officials Aichele’s alleged relationship with a male student, who Aichele admitted in court was a 16-year-old junior at the high school at the time.
When the high school administration initially questioned Aichele and the student, they both denied a relationship, officials have said. When police arrived though, the male student started talking to the officers about the relationship, according to the criminal complaint.
In a taped statement, the male student told investigators Aichele sent him four photos of “her exposed bare breasts and buttocks” between February and April via text Snapchat. “He further stated that she sent him text messages through Snapchat, stating that she thought about him while masturbating,” the complaint states.

Her Career is gone forever as she has to register as a sex offender 'for life' so no one will hire her as a teacher. Her reputation is shot if she had one...she's no doubt injured family members and friends....and she'll be serving a prison term so she'll have a record as well.
