Col.Tautman: you don’t know him like I know him.
I once saw him take out a battalion of men armed with nothing but a strawberry.

As the closing credits scroll, he gets run down in front of the nursing home by a race car...

I might be able to take out a battalion of men who are armed with only strawberries. :-)

Rambo was weird and crazy enough in the first take. I don’t need anymore, thanks.

I’ll watch it. I like Stallone’s movies.

Worse still, a short lived 80s cartoon.

I read “First Blood” back in the ‘70s. Rambo died at the end of that book.

Not sure where the sequels came from...twin brother maybe?

“Really liked the last one.”

As did I. I thought it would be the last one because it was a very good “ending” story. Especially since the movie closed out with him finally returning to the “family” homestead...walking down the long driveway towards the house.

Of course, I’ll watch the new movie.

You don’t seem to want to accept the fact you’re dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare. With a man who’s the best with guns, with knives with his bare hands. A man who’s been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather. To live off the land, to eat things that would make a Billy goat puke. In Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill Period. Win by attrition. Well Rambo was the best.

I wish Amazon had continued the Jon claude van Johnson series

it made good use of an old action hero guy

I see those pics of Stallone and I see my now deceased son-ini-law. He was a young property management company executive but looked like a Sylvester Stallone clone. When he and my daughter were in restaurants in Boston 15-20 years ago people would approach him for autographs. He always smiled and said “sure” and signed his own name. Most folks didn’t even look at it, just put it in purse or pocket. Some assumed that Mark LeD. was his “real” name.

The book First Blood is very good. I think the author is David Morrell.

It’s a plausible scenario unlike the others, although they are fun to watch.
