I’m listening to the radio news from that era and by mid 1943, everyone was certain the Axis defeat was inevitable and close at hand. By late 1942, we knew the Japanese were playing reduced to playing defense.
Once the Americans came in, Churchill was certain the war would be won by the Allies.
One of my Uncles was at D-Day... I’m not talking about what was on radio at the time ... or in the press. I was talking about family members who fought in World War II...
