RESPONSE FROM REPUBLICAN COUNTY CHAIRMAN: State's Attorney Kim Foxx's bizarre and unprecedented decision to drop all charges against Jussie Smollett has been all over the news in the last few weeks. As soon as this decision became public, I called on her to appear before the Cook County Board to explain herself and accept an independent federal review of this decision. I'm not the only one frustrated and bewildered by this inarguable appearance of impropriety. Folks across the nation are crying out about potential misconduct in the case and the way she has responded.
