No doubt about the dungeon. I grew up with wrestling, from the early 60’s to just about 2005 I watched it as religiously as any NFL fan. Even sat ringside at Wrestlemania 19. Let me tell you, it was better than any Super Bowl for entertainment, excitement and fun.

Grandpa used to take me to the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles - mid 60’s late 60’s - Fred Blassie was “champeen” along with The Golden Greek John Tolos, Ernie Ladd wrestled there during the off season when he was with the Chargers. One time an old lady stabbed Blassie in the shoulder with a knitting needle ringside. Locker Room Interviews was the best part of the show. Gene LeBell, Dick Lane, Cal Worthington and his dog Spot.

Years later living in Portland, we were big on Portland Wrestling with Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, Nature Boy Ric Flair, Playboy Buddy Rose and Billy Jack Haynes.

The good old days. I don’t get wrestling now. It’s all kiddie stuff mostly. WWE would be out of business if it weren’t for the women wrestlers like Lynch and a couple others.
