Are police given ANY training on how to deal with people having medical or psychological problems?
Most police officers are first responders having attended a 40hr. first aid course.
A smaller number are EMT's having gone through approx. 80 hrs. of training. Short answer, yes they should recognize someone is having a seizure.
One would think that most of the people the police have to deal with have psychological problems so, in a way, yes they have some training.
