Dinosaur graveyard. Did they find Hillary’s 2020 campaign hopes?
He finds it strange that many of Mr DePalmas claims presented in the media were not mentioned in the PNAS journal article.
...
I noticed that when the PNAS article was posted here on FR.
The dinosaur specialist who was not included and does not have all the information yet seems bitter he was not included. I actually read the article (I know...against forum rules), and it seems like he is arguing for all sites to be open to him and other scientists who would love to piggyback on someone else’s work.
Maybe someone in the “industry” could tells us a bit about unethical archaeologists either hiding findings and keeping them unreasonably away from others and, on the flip side, thinking that if they don’t have access to the latest dig, that dig is bogus.
Anticipation !!!
The principal investigator, Robert DePalma is not a member of the club, the paleontologists. He doesn’t have a PhD, he is just a doctoral candidate, he is not associated with an important research institution, and he has been known to sell fossils.
This paper presents the finds that have been fully described and support the interpretation of the site. The intent of this paper is to establish that the site represents a very precise period of time, the hours after the impact of the object that struck the Yucatan Peninsula 66 million years. As reported elsewhere, additional finds at this site include more dinosaur remains including impressions of skin, dinosaur eggs with embryos, and mammals burrows with mammal fossils. These finds will be described and explained in future papers.
The criticism will be aimed at discrediting DePalma and protecting the turf of the big paleontologists, particularly, I suspect, Jack Horner who “owns” the Hell Creek Formation where this site can be found, and because he was the first to discover a dinosaur egg with embryo. It will be a real cat fight.
Mr. DePalma and his team have cited concerns around poaching for not opening the site up to many other researchers something which does reportedly happen in the field.
...
This site originally belonged to a private collector. He gave up on it because there were no usable fossils. They would break apart when exposed to air. Therefore, poaching wouldn’t be a problem.
But how does this indicate Trump-Russia collusion big money tax returns imcompetence business dealings past impropriety with women and whatever else?
Rivals of the scientists involved in the actual dig (who, with the exception of the guy who found the site, are heavy-weights in the field) have seized upon the writer's crap (and lies) to attack the real scientific findings described in the New Yorker article.
The actual scientific article was published a few days after the New Yorker article, and it says none of the crap the New Yorker writer added to what the scientists told him. I checked that out carefully.
Smother Nebraska man?
Millions of fossils are smuggled out of China. They could easily dump a bunch and say “Look!”
If it sounds like a hoax, that’s the way to bet.
There are similarities between Trump’s presidency and how the article reads about this find
Piltdown Man!
This is why we call it FAKE NEWS. Duh.
