Prius’ are more dangerous than the environment than a gas combustion automobile. Why? The battery. If it takes a hazmat team to clean up an accident that a Prius has been in or a crane and a water bath to put out a fire, then it certainly is not good for the environment. It’s the same concept of an oil pipeline if you think that is bad. The oil does no danger to the environment as it stays inside the pipeline. One other exception, a battery takes thousands of years to decay. The car will be long gone before the battery is.

Always thought this was the irony of whacko environmentalists who think the Prius is better for the environment. Not saying you and your wife are, just making a point that even when it’s green it can be mean.

I totally enjoy the Prius, getting 50+mpg after driving Suburbans is a thrill!

The battery on a Prius is a nothing burger compared to the batteries on a large diesel, hundreds of pounds and thousands of amps! Some use two of them!!!

There are many Prius with a million miles!
Might outlast me!!!
