‘Guerrilla Girls’ at Brown U. take on ‘white male bias’ in the art world

Brown University played host Wednesday evening to a stimulating, er, performance by a member of the “feminist activist group” known as the Guerrilla Girls.

According to their website, the Guerrilla Girls “wear gorilla masks in public and use facts, humor and outrageous visuals to expose gender and ethnic bias as well as corruption in politics, art, film, and pop culture.”

The Brown Daily Herald reports Guerrilla Girl “Frida Kahlo” got “laughter and applause” from the crowd as she walked up and down the aisles of Salomon Hall handing out bananas. (Bananas? Uh oh — hopefully none were given to African-American students.)

Well going by your picture, girl #2 is definitely the bra-burning type.

Which is sad, because bras aren't an invention of the patriarchy in order to oppress the female sex; they have a purpose of support for boobies that helps prevent massive sag later in life. Although I appreciate bra-free women as any man does, the great view now is not worth the physical consequences down the road...
