I had a teacher in the 4th grade, Mr. King. He was a pleasant guy but he had one bee in his bonnet. He hated Arabs.
He had been in North Africa in WWII. Probably had a reason for his feelings.
That's about the same grade where I had a woman teacher claim that Islam was spread by the sword. This is the 1950's. A woman way ahead of the times. I miss those days.
I have nine trips north Africa. I understand why he feels that way. The animals are treated better than the women. Not as much in Egypt but morocco can be the worst. In Morocco life is tough especially for the Berbers who live in the mountains. Many of these people in a mountainous areas dress far worse than our homeless here for worse. There is a certain harshness in the way people treat each other. All the money tends to flow up towards the king. The Moroccan kings very seldom try to improve the country. It is a country where every man is for himself to the extremes.
