A 12-year-old boy in Michigan has decided he's not going to wait for officials to fill the large potholes dotting a street near his home and is instead getting his hands dirty and filling the craters himself.
Monte Scott starting filling potholes last week using a shovel and dirt from his backyard in Muskegon Heights after he grew fed up with the state of neighborhood roads.
“I didn't want people messing up their cars like my mom did,” he told WZZM-TV. “If somebody were to drive down the street and hit a pothole, and then would have to pay like $600-700 to get their car fixed, they would be mad."

I noticed the white truck in the video, and the name painted on the side seemed familiar. At first I thought it said “Sanford & Son”, but it was actually “Cranford & Son”. Close enough, I guess.
When you look at the new silver architecture studding skylines of European and Asian cities, it is a disturbing feeling to realize how few innovative structures are being built in the US.
When did America cease to thrive? When did the beacon of free enterprise succumb to being so shabby? Trillions a year spent and we can’t even afford to fix potholes. Are the good times really over for good?
Nice intentions but he used dirt. Get rain and mud splatter everywhere.
Did he use traffic cones for safety and have an on duty to direct traffic ( as he sits in his car)

That's my experience with union labor.
I had a union job decades ago painting a metal ship, I quit when my union boss came by and put salt in my paint.
Here in Michigan we already pay the highest automobile insurance in the country. The state recently raised our registration fees and now they want to hit us with higher fuel tax. Yes the roads are horrible and the car repairs are atrocious, but regardless of higher taxes, I don’t expect anything to change except higher graft payouts.
Bamma spent nearly a trillion dollars and all we have to show for it is higher taxes and a higher deficit.
Obama even laughed and said “well, I guess those shovel ready jobs weren’t so shovel ready”.
Really, at least he is trying to fix up a road...
Replacing potholes with mud holes! Michigan ingenuity is why Detroit is the way it is.
