And you just dont get it.
Cheyenne Mountain is DESIGNED to be buried by a nuke strike and survive, sealed for 30 days or more. I know, I have been inside there and my father-in-law worked on the tunnel. There are abandoned underground missile bases all over Colorado. Guess what? The military ABANDONED THEM. The cost to upkeep is too much.
The location might be viable for a commercial enterprise like a storage center but not very useful for a military base. Cost to retrofit is too high.
