For what it’s worth, the last such protest bragged that a whole 100,000 nationwide protested - yet I never talked to anyone who saw any of these protests.

FWIW, back at the end of November I saw and reported one such protest. In downtown Seattle, where I was visiting, I saw a rag-tag group of 50 protesters, many with placards. Darned if I can remember what the protest was about.

Thirty years ago, it would have been Boeing employees striking for longer/more smoking breaks.

Today's Seattle, it's more likely an organized whine about "claimjumpers" poopin' in already-designated places.
